Stephanie Flood is a writer based in Northern Arizona, who was born in the Philippines as an orphan in 1985, adopted, and grew up in the United States. Now a recent Pushcart Nominee (2015), Stephanie holds a Post-MFA Certificate in the Teaching of Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles (2015) and MFA in Creative Writing from Northern Arizona University (2014). Essays, short stories, journalism articles and absurd things have appeared in local magazines, newspapers, and small literary magazines. Her writing is often offbeat and fantastical, as her multimedia includes experimental videography and recycled art multimedia.
This was one of three pieces that were created from found objects in thrift stores in the Southwest, specifically, in Northern Arizona, made from a vintage edition of Treasure Island, old magazines and postcards. These pieces of recycled art were then digitized to create a grainy, raw, and surreal affect.
