POETRY

I Find Myself

by Marcia Arrieta

I find myself in a corner between ants & missed calls, messages & bees, a mouse
or maybe a rat, lies, checks never received.

I find myself in winter where the light is faint amidst shadows, the wind fierce,
& the violence incomprehensible.

I find myself in a loom & the threads are many tightly woven with the scissors
close at hand.
